Georgia Litherland
Georgia Litherland is a writer and editor, with over 15 years’ experience in publishing as a desk editor, project manager, freelance copy editor and proofreader.
Georgia specialises in creating accessible, reader-friendly factual information from the writings of subject specialists. She also creates loopy yet accurate children’s comics about archaeology and history.
She is a sympathetic editor and skilled communicator, whose titles have included heritage interpretation leaflets, web pages and comics, press releases, business training and product literature, academic conference volumes, biography, popular histories, popular health and complementary medicine and beautifully illustrated wildlife volumes.
Georgia’s past work incarnations include many years in international academic publishing, stints as a yoga teacher and massage therapist, and a wonderful year spent cutting out, sticking on and working with stories and glitter as a children’s librarian.
Her extensive travels have taken her to South and Central America, Africa, Australia and India (many times), and will no doubt continue to do so. Apart from immersing in creative projects and revamping texts, she delights in yoga, splendid green nature, large bodies of water and stretching her imagination with children.
